The Firemasters Mistress
An interesting account of the plotting leading up to the attempt by Guy Fawkes to blow up parliament buildings in early England . There is an equal amount of complete fiction and truth to make this a very interesting and captivating read. It follows the experience of (fictional) Kate Peach and her once lover Firemaster Quoynt through their involvement in the gunpowder plot.
I enjoyed this book, although from lack of background knowledge found myself a bit lost at times. It took me a while to read, and from my experience I wouldn't recommend reading it in parts.

"This wonderful, complex story tears a big hole in a cherished piece of history revealing a shared delusion four hundred years old, a very surprising and satisfying love story, and a new conspiracy theory that is chillingly appropriate to the present day"
Well personally I'm not to sure how chillingly appropriate it is to today, but neverless a definite must read.
